Established in 2002, PCSST is a tuition free public charter school under the New Jersey Public School System and is fully accredited by the State of New Jersey Board of Education.
PCSST has three campuses; K-1, 2-6 and 7-12 campus. PCSST houses a culturally diverse population.
PCSST maintains graduation standards that exceed the NJ Department of Education requirements. We are committed to excellence and achievement of our students. Advanced Placement (AP) options for students are expanding as are dual enrollment opportunities for our students to earn college credit before leaving high school. PCSST is a high technology integrated campus where students use computers and tablets in their daily learning. PCSST is a leader in educational development. Our use of formative assessments like STAR, the data analysis done in Professional Learning Communities, the on-line curriculum development, and the implementation of Standards Based Grading practices are all trend setting academic developments instituted at PCSST before even being discussed in the state. Our trend setting programs have led to improvements in all testing areas demonstrating student success.
Our goals for the athletic program are to provide a rewarding experience for the students, give them an opportunity to represent their school and community in a positive way, create an environment that contributes to a growth in school spirit, and develop the self-esteem and athletic skills of all student athletes in the following programs: Soccer, Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, Softball and Baseball.
College and Career Readiness
PCSST College Readiness Access and Success Program (CRASP) consists of a K-12 counseling curriculum that is comprehensive in scope, preventive in nature, and developmental in design. PCSST counselors organize developmental workshops, in class presentations, and structured guidance lessons that are designed to provide all students with the knowledge and skills required for college and career readiness. Our Junior ROTC program has matured into a vibrant, active program that encourages young people to become better citizens by studying and demonstrating the values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage over their four year high school career. Our JROTC raiders team made it to the Nationals in Georgia.
